The tool we wished existed
Frelvo didn't start as a business idea. It started as a problem that wouldn't go away — one shared by millions of freelancers who just happen to live outside the United States.

If you've freelanced from the Philippines, Nigeria, Indonesia, Vietnam, or dozens of other countries, you've seen that message. You try to sign up for HoneyBook — a beautifully designed all-in-one freelancer platform — and you hit a wall: US bank account required.
So you try Dubsado. It works, technically. But then you spend the next two weeks reading documentation, watching YouTube tutorials, and building workflow templates before you can send a single invoice. It's powerful, but it wasn't built for someone who just wants to get started this afternoon.
Meanwhile, your clients are waiting. You're sending invoices as Google Docs. Contracts go back and forth over email. You screenshot your PayPal notifications to prove a payment arrived. It's embarrassing — not because you're unprofessional, but because the tools available to you make it impossible to look professional.
That was the situation that led to Frelvo.
Building the thing we couldn't find
We didn't set out to build a SaaS company. We set out to solve a simple problem: how do you give clients a polished, professional experience when the tools designed to help you do that won't let you sign up?
The first version was rough — just enough to send an invoice and have a client sign a contract without printing anything. But something clicked. The client experience felt real. Invoices looked professional. Contracts were signed in minutes, not days.
We kept building. Meeting scheduling, because the back-and-forth over availability was eating hours. A CRM pipeline, because following up on leads manually meant deals slipping through the cracks. Booking flows that bundled proposal + contract + invoice into a single link, because asking clients to do three separate things meant someone always dropped off.
AI drafting for contracts and proposals — because starting from a blank page is the most expensive part of winning new work, and there was no reason a computer couldn't give you 80% of the first draft in thirty seconds.
Why it matters to us
There are talented freelancers everywhere. Developers in Lagos. Designers in Manila. Copywriters in Ho Chi Minh City. Consultants in Jakarta. They do world-class work for international clients — and they deserve world-class tools.
Geography shouldn't determine whether you can run a professional service business. A freelancer in the Philippines billing in PHP should have the exact same experience as one in New York billing in USD. Same invoice quality. Same e-signature experience. Same branded client portal.
That's not a business strategy. It's just fair.
